Who we are

Placeholder

At WPF Integrative Psychotherapy, we are a team of clinicians dedicated to helping individuals move beyond symptom management—toward deeper emotional processing, internal clarity, and sustained psychological change.

Our work is collaborative, structured, and grounded in evidence-based, depth-oriented approaches.

Meet the Team

    Dr. Walkens Petit-Frere, LCSW

    Founder & Clinical Director

Walkens Petit-Frere is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, educator, researcher, and the Founder and Clinical Director of WPF Integrative Psychotherapy. He established the practice with a clear vision: to create a place where exceptional clinical care, scientific rigor, and genuine human connection come together to support meaningful and lasting transformation.

Drawing from advanced training in trauma-informed psychotherapy, Walkens has developed a clinical philosophy that integrates multiple evidence-based modalities, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), Somatic Therapies, and Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP). His work is informed by contemporary neuroscience, attachment theory, relational psychotherapy, and culturally responsive practice.

As Clinical Director, Walkens provides leadership, consultation, and ongoing clinical oversight to ensure that every clinician at WPF Integrative Psychotherapy delivers thoughtful, ethical, and evidence-based care. He is committed to fostering a collaborative environment where clinicians continue to grow professionally while maintaining the highest standards of treatment.

In addition to his clinical work, Walkens is a doctoral-trained scholar-practitioner whose research focuses on trauma, emotional regulation, identity development, and integrative psychotherapy. He is the developer of the Dynamic Object Relational Reflection Theory (DORRT), an emerging integrative framework that bridges psychodynamic theory, neuroscience, trauma research, systems thinking, and multicultural perspectives to better understand how individuals make meaning, regulate emotion, and cultivate resilience.

Walkens believes that psychotherapy is more than symptom reduction—it is an opportunity to deepen self-understanding, strengthen relationships, and create lasting psychological change. This philosophy continues to guide the culture of WPF Integrative Psychotherapy and the care provided to every client.
